Sierra Base, a leading South Korean safety diagnostics solutions provider, has joined forces with Accuver to enter the Japanese market, leveraging Accuver’s extensive local network. The partnership is expected to accelerate the adoption of the Korean-developed safety diagnostic platform in Japan.

On the 7th of December, Sierra Base and Accuver Japan signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at Shinagawa Hotel, Tokyo, solidifying their collaboration. The agreement focuses on introducing SIRIUS, Sierra Base's flagship solution, to Japan. Accuver, established in 2011, boasts a global workforce of 700 employees and a strong reputation in the ICT industry.

The SIRIUS platform combines advanced AI capabilities and 3D robot control to provide smart inspection and monitoring of infrastructure and buildings. Leveraging proprietary technology, the solution enables stable autonomous operations that detect structural issues like cracks and efflorescence. Its precision AI analytics can identify cracks as small as 0.1mm, far below the legal standard of 0.3mm, ensuring unparalleled accuracy. After gaining widespread traction in South Korea, Sierra Base aims to expand globally, beginning with Japan.

Accuver Vice President Kyunghwa Mun said, “SIRIUS is a revolutionary solution with immense potential. By leveraging our extensive network in Japan, we aim to achieve outstanding results and establish SIRIUS as a market leader.”

The signing ceremony took place during the 2024 Korea ICT Expo in Japan, an event co-hosted by the Korean Ministry of Science and ICT, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport.
