Accuver, the world’s leading provider of wireless test and measurement solutions, is pleased to announce the release of its NB-IoT (Narrowband Internet of Things) measurement and analysis solutions. Accuver now supports Qualcomm MDM9206 and HiSilicon Neul Hi2110 NB-IoT chipsets in its widely-used XCAL-M and XCAP-M software.

Massive IoT (Internet of Things) is one of the three pillars of 5G, and it refers to the vision of connecting billions of devices, machines, and sensors to the next generation mobile networks. To achieve that vision, 3GPP has certified NB-IoT as the underlying technology in its Release 13 standards.

“Mobile operators around the world have started to launch commercial LTE IoT networks, and by the end of 2017 there can be up to 30 NB-IoT networks supporting Cat-NB1 devices,” said You Jin Kim, Head of Accuver Global Business Division. “Accuver is ready to support the market development of NB-IoT, and Accuver tools provide an easy and effective way to automate the testing, troubleshooting, and analyzing of NB-IoT performance.”

NB-IoT data captured by Accuver XCAL-M and XCAP-M software include NB-IoT serving cell and neighbor cell information, NB-IoT RRC NAS messages, information on downlink and uplink narrowband physical channels such NPDSCH and NPUSCH, and many others.
